The Down There Affair - Toronto

Turbo in Undies

Women make up 51% of the population and get 7 cents of every Canadian health research dollar. Endometriosis, fibroids, pelvic pain, perimenopause, conditions that reshape how a woman moves through her entire day, and most of them are still being told to push through it or that it's just normal.

Movement is one of the few things that helps. Not as a cure, and not instead of the research that's still missing, but strength, mobility and community are what let women keep living in their bodies while the science catches up. That's the part we can actually do something about right now.
We built Turbo on the idea that a training space should meet people where their body actually is, not where a program says it should be. That every body deserves somewhere to get stronger without having to explain itself first. Women's health sits right at the centre of that, you can't build a place for people to move if half of them are moving through pain nobody has bothered to research.

So on September 26th we're walking the Bentway — 7km or 12km, strength stations along the route, fundraising going to Sinai Health Foundation's work on women's below-the-belt health. In our underwear, because being visible on purpose and on our own terms is how this stops being a quiet problem.

Every dollar goes toward research that should have been funded decades ago. Walk with us, or donate and send someone else.
